He has a bachelor's degree from Notre Dame and a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin. He has led a wide array of courses in Philosophy and Honors (from the work of activist Angela Davis to the aesthetics of western music), stemming most often from a desire to further his own education. Dr. More’s scholarship concerns the work of Friedrich Nietzsche, and the interplay of philosophy and the humanities. He authored the award-winning <em>Nietzsche’s Last Laugh</em> (Cambridge University Press), and has published on such topics as Nietzsche’s style (in <em>Philosophy and Literature</em>), on the philosophy of the contest (in <em>The International Journal of Sport and Society</em>), and on matters of literary form in <em>Ficciones </em>by Jorge Luis Borges. Nick’s ongoing research involves the relationship of philosophy to humor—a more fractious one than you might imagine.</p></about-me><interests/><social-media/><website/><image><img src="/_resources/images/default-source/directory-profile-images/nicholas_more.jpeg" alt="Nick More"/></image><areas-of-expertise/><cv> </cv><publications/><awards/><student-success/><department-filter/><DEPARTMENT_FILTERS/></item>
