Dr. Olson is an Associate Professor of environmental studies and director of the Institute for Mountain Research at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, UT. His research and teaching concern the interaction between culture, political economy, and what we call nature. He's particularly interested in climate justice, inter-species relationships, and how and where we find hope in the midst of trouble and create spaces for change. When he’s not teaching, reading, or writing, he’s most likely taking photos or exploring the world on a bike or a snowboard.
