On Friday, May 1, Westminster University will host its annual Student Showcase, a campus-wide celebration of the research, creative work, and experiential learning that define a Westminster education. More than a traditional academic presentation, the Student Showcase highlights how students move beyond lectures and coursework to become lifelong learners prepared to lead successful and impactful lives. Members of the community and the public are invited to explore projects that demonstrate the breadth of scholarship taking place across disciplines.
Students presenting at the Student Showcase put their experiential learning on display through projects that reflect career readiness and a strong understanding of how their knowledge applies in real-world settings. Working under faculty mentorship, participants engage in high-level research, creative inquiry, and applied projects that connect classroom learning with professional practice. The Student Showcase recognizes the academic achievement of students who are already contributing ideas and solutions relevant to their chosen fields.
The Student Showcase also reflects the strong outcomes associated with a Westminster education:
- More than 97% of Westminster graduates report that their degree helped them achieve their professional goals, underscoring the value of the university’s hands-on, mentorship-driven approach.
- More than 90% of Westminster graduates find jobs within three months of graduation, and 75% of students stay in Utah after they graduate–adding value to our local economy and meeting our workforce needs.
- According to an analysis by The New York Times, Westminster ranks #1 in Utah among four-year universities for economic mobility—evidence that the opportunities students pursue at Westminster translate into meaningful pathways for their futures.
