Starting college is exciting, but it also brings new challenges. Unlike K-12 education where schools identify and arrange supports (504/IEP), it's your responsibility to notify Student Disability Services of your disability and any academic support you may need.
Student Disability Services offers accommodations, services, and resources to support you with physical, learning, or psychological disabilities. Starting the process early helps ensure everything is in place before your first semester begins.
Financial aid includes scholarships, grants, loans, and Work-Study funds from the federal government or Westminster University. To be eligible for any financial aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before each academic year.
Get your most up-to-date financial aid offer letter from the Financial Aid tab in your Admissions Portal. Send any questions to the Financial Aid Office.
Your personal student information is protected under FERPA. You can give the university permission to discuss your information with parents, guardians, or sponsors by completing the Student Record Release authorization in Self-Service. Authorization will allow your approved individuals to speak with specific university departments about your tuition and billing, grades and academic information, housing and meal plan, or conduct and Title IX account.
You can also set up proxy access, which lets approved individuals view billing and payment information online, directly through the student account system. Permissions can be edited any time. Set up or remove proxy access in Self-Service under “View/Add Proxy Access.”
Student-athletes should communicate regularly with their team coach and the Athletics Department to complete all required documents and forms. Throughout the summer, Student-athletes receive information about submitting proof of insurance, completing required tests, and scheduling a physical.
Student-athletes living on campus also have different move-in dates and times.
