Camps

Westminster University in Salt Lake City, Utah offers a variety of summer camps for elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as prospect camps for student-athletes interested in attending Westminster University.



Music Camps

Strings Camp

The Florence J. Gillmor School of Music's Westminster Strings Camp is open to high school students who play violin, cello, or double bass. Accepted students receive a full scholarship for this week-long immersion in the art of solo and collaborative strings performance.

SummerSong

Each year, the Florence J. Gillmor School of Music at Westminster University hosts the SummerSong Music Festival, a music camp for talented high school singers and pianists. Thanks to generous funding by the Florence J. Gillmor Foundation, 25 singers and 10 pianists are invited to stay on campus and receive a week-long immersion in the art of singing and piano performance. High school juniors and seniors who participate in all lessons, classes, and activities of SummerSong will receive a Westminster University transcript for two college elective music credits, transferable to any college or university.

Sports and Recreation Camps

Athletic Camps

Each summer, Westminster University's Athletics Department offers a variety of challenging and fun sports camps for youth. Throughout the year, student-athletes interested in attending Westminster can sign up for prospect and ID camps for lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, and basketball. 

Girls Sports and Recreation Camp

The Girls Sports and Recreation Camp introduces girls ages 6–14 to various sports and recreational activities. Campers are encouraged to try new sports and recreational activities, and learn or practice skills in sports they are already familiar with.

Boys Sports and Recreation Camp

The Boys Sports and Recreation Camp introduces boys ages 6–14 to various sports and recreational activities. Campers are encouraged to try new sports and recreational activities, and learn or practice skills in sports they are already familiar with.

Girls Wellness Wonder Camp

At the Wellness Wonder Camp, campers participate in activities that help them learn tools and methods for self-care, wellness, and mindfulness. Campers will expand their wellness perspective by learning mindfulness techniques and experimenting with different forms of art, reading, movement, and more.

Girls Nature Quest Camp

Campers at Nature Quest Camp participate in fun and educational outdoor activities that help them develop a deeper connection with the natural world, including gardening, learning about water science, hiking, and creating music.

National Girls and Women in Sports Day: Sports and Recreation Clinic

Westminster University celebrates National Girls and Women in Sports Day by hosting an annual Sports and Recreation Clinic for girls ages 6–14, sponsored by the Fitness, Wellness, and Recreation Department and the Westminster University Athletics Department.

STEM Camps

Science Saturday (Middle School)

The fall Science Saturday day camp encourages 7th and 8th grade girls to pursue their interest in STEM with hands-on labs and workshops led by Westminster University women faculty. Campers will also enjoy an hour at the Dolores Doré Eccles Health, Wellness, and Athletic Center and a screening of the movie "Hidden Figures."

Science Saturday (High School)

The spring Science Saturday event is a unique day camp opportunity for high school students to enjoy hands-on STEM labs and workshops. Campers will also enjoy an hour at the Dolores Doré Eccles Health, Wellness, and Athletic Center, where they will participate in rock climbing, scuba diving, or pickleball.
