Submissions for the Alumni Board of Directors are currently closed.
Board members serve for 3 years, providing you with ample opportunity to contribute to Westminster's alumni community. The next 3-year term will begin on June 1, 2026 and end on May 31, 2029.
There are 4 meetings per year to strategize, plan, and evaluate alumni initiatives, where attendance is required. While we understand the demands of busy schedules and encourage the participation of board members based outside Utah, we request that members attend at least 1 meeting in person during each school year. However, all meetings offer a Zoom link for remote participation, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for all members.
All board members are asked to serve on at least 1 committee. Your involvement in these committees will allow you to dive deeper into specific areas of interest, collaborate with fellow board members, and drive meaningful change.
The ideal Board member:
- Graduated from Westminster or attended at least 2 academic years.
- Wants to share their expertise and talents to advance the goals of the Alumni Board and the Alumni Relations office.
- Is able to invest their time and efforts in Westminster’s future to benefit all alumni and students.
- Will attend Westminster events to engage alumni, students, parents, and faculty/staff.
Committees typically meet once per month, with additional meetings scheduled as needed leading up to events or initiatives they support. Members are expected to engage in planning discussions, complete occasional follow-up tasks, and help ensure the success of their committee’s work.
Alumni Recognition Committee: The Alumni Recognition Committee celebrates and honors the alumni community by providing support to the Alumni Relations office in the planning and execution of the annual Alumni Awards. Committee members participate in the selection process for recipients of the Alumni Awards as well as selection of the alumni scholarship recipients.
Board Resource Committee: The Board Resource Committee is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and recommending individuals to serve on the Alumni Board of Directors. This committee also plans our annual structured networking event with students, Westmixer.
Westminster Reunion Committee: The Westminster Reunion Committee assists the Alumni Relations office with the planning, marketing, and execution of Westminster Weekend and Commencement Brunch to engage alumni and soon-to-be alumni.
