The Westminster Commitment

The Westminster Commitment for Utah Students

Your tuition, fully paid

The Westminster Commitment is our promise to Utah students. The tuition-free program is for academically driven students from Utah who have financial need. The university is dedicated to providing equitable opportunities, eliminating financial barriers, and opening the door to what a Westminster education offers. The scholarship covers tuition costs for eligible students for 4 years. To qualify for the Westminster Commitment, students must:

✓ Submit an admissions application by the university’s Feb. 3 Regular Decision deadline

✓ Be admitted to Westminster University

✓ Submit a FAFSA using Westminster's FAFSA code (003681) by the March 1 priority deadline

✓ Have a total family income below $75,000 and limited assets*

✓ Have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.3 (at the time of admission)

✓ Graduate from a Utah high school during the 2024–25 academic year

✓ Enroll as a first-time, full-time undergraduate student in Fall 2025**

The Westminster Commitment is applied to a student’s tuition after all other federal, state, and Westminster aid is applied to a student’s account. The Westminster Commitment does not cover food and housing costs.

*Final eligibility is determined through assessment of family income and assets.
**Students may enroll in a later term after an approved deferred enrollment.
