New Student Orientation
We're saving a spot for you
You’ve done research, you’ve asked questions, and now it’s time to make it official. Claim your spot and join Westminster’s Class of 2029.
Westminster University is thrilled you decided to join the Griffin community. New Student Orientation is a mandatory program for all new students entering the fall and spring semesters that helps students adjust to life at Westminster.
New Student Orientation Program
New Student Orientation is your official welcome to Westminster. This immersive experience is designed to help you connect with fellow Griffins, explore campus, and prepare for an exciting journey ahead. Through interactive sessions, fun activities, and meaningful conversations, you'll gain the tools and confidence to thrive in your first year. Get ready to make friends, ask questions, and start your Westminster adventure.
All new students must participate in Fall Orientation (including Honors College, First Scholars, International, and Nursing program students). BBA program students will attend a separate orientation program.
Orientation Programs
The First-Year Student Experience is a required in-person orientation program designed to help first-year students with their academic, personal, social, and cultural transition into the Westminster and Salt Lake City communities before the start of fall classes.
The program includes a mix of engaging and educational activities throughout campus. Meals are provided and strongly encouraged as opportunities to connect with fellow students, Orientation Leaders, faculty, and staff. Evening social activities are optional but highly encouraged and are a great way to build friendships and community before classes begin. Students will receive detailed schedules, locations, and updates during Orientation.
