Cádiz

Cádiz is an historic coastal city in Andalusia, known for its rich history, stunning beaches, and vibrant culture. The city is one of the oldest in Western Europe, founded by the Phoenicians over 3000 years ago.

Learn

IPSL’s partner in Cádiz offers Spanish language courses ranging from beginner to advanced, as well as combining your small group lessons with private instruction. You can even combine your Spanish language courses with lessons in surfing! In addition, to help increase language proficiency they offer workshops in the art of photography, cooking, and theater and each week a wide variety of activities (like tours and excursions) are organized to help participants discover Europe's oldest city.

IPSL does not currently offer volunteer service placements in Cádiz.

Live

Students can stay with local families (our recommendation!) with your choice of half or full board. Other lodging options include student housing with single rooms and a shared kitchen, one-bedroom studios with a private kitchen, and shared flats with locals or other students (self-catering).


Málaga

Charming, lively, and located on the stunning Costa del Sol, Málaga is a combination of culture (over 40 museums and art around every corner and it’s the birthplace of Pablo Picasso), the Mediterranean Sea (16 sunny beaches!), numerous tapas bars, cutting-edge neighborhoods, historical sites (Málaga’s history dates back almost 3000 years), and more. The result is a city full of passion, history, and beauty that makes it a perfect spot to soak up some sun and study the Spanish language.

IPSL’s partner in Málaga offers Spanish language courses ranging from beginner to advanced, as well as combining your small group lessons with private instruction. Spanish lessons can also be combined with cooking courses and/or Hispanic courses. In addition to language courses, there are opportunities to explore local museums, enjoy flamenco on the plaza, relax in an Arab bath (Baños Árabes) with massage, or savor traditional tapas.

Half-board and full-board options are available for homestays. Other lodging options include shared flats with locals (self-catering), a single room in a student residence hall (self-catering), or one-bedroom studios with a private kitchen.

Seville

Seville, Spain is a vibrant and historical city, known for its beautiful architecture, delicious cuisine, and passionate culture. It’s a popular destination with attractions like the Alcázar, the Cathedral, and the Plaza de España, all of which offer a glimpse into the city’s rich past. Seville is also famous for its flamenco music and tapas bars.

IPSL’s partner in Sevilla offers Spanish language courses ranging from beginner to advanced, as well as combining your small group lessons with private instruction. You can even combine your Spanish language courses with lessons in surfing and watersports, or cultural activities! Each week a wide variety of activities (like tours and excursions) are organized to help participants discover this beautiful city. You can participate in weekend trips to Granada and/or Morocco and daytrips to Málaga (Ronda), Córdoba, or Cádiz (& the beach!).

Live

Students have the option to stay with locals in either a homestay with half-board and full-board options or a shared flat that is self-catering. In addition, there are several other self-catering options like a single room in a student residence, studio apartments, or one-bedroom apartments.


Valencia

The birthplace of paella, 300 days of sunshine a year AND a great place to study Spanish and volunteer with a local nonprofit. Valencia brims with historic attractions that are easy to walk to and discover in a relatively short time. Valencia is a stunning coastal city known for its perfect blend of historic charm and modern innovation. Situated on Spain’s eastern coast, it boasts a rich cultural heritage, beautiful beaches, and a lively arts scene. Explore the architectural wonders of the City of Arts and Sciences, wander through the historic old town, and savor the world-famous local cuisine, including traditional paella. The Valencian Community, with its diverse landscapes from coastal plains to mountainous areas, offers a wealth of outdoor activities and cultural experiences.

IPSL’s partner in Valencia offers a vibrant and dynamic Spanish language program located in the heart of the city. The school provides an immersive and engaging Spanish learning experience. A variety of fully accredited courses are tailored to all levels, ensuring that each student can achieve their language goals while enjoying the rich Spanish culture. Online courses are also available. Activities to enhance your experience are offered each week and can include cooking and culture classes, walking tours, language exchanges, and more. And each week begins with a paella feast to enjoy with your fellow students and instructors.

Live

In Seville you can stay with a local family and choose to include either half or full board. Shared apartments are also available, some with a private bath option. On occasion, private apartments may also be available.
