Non-degree seeking students are students who enroll at the university but have not applied for, or been accepted into, a degree program; they plan to take courses or complete certificates for interest and professional development. Westminster offers graduate level certificates for those who aren't ready to commit to a graduate degree at this time.

If you are a non-degree seeking student:

  • You are subject to the academic regulations of the university.
  • Credit earned while in non-degree seeking student status is not considered toward a degree unless you apply for admission to, and are accepted by, the university as a degree-seeking student.
  • You are not eligible for scholarships or federal assistance and student visas cannot be issued for non-degree seeking courses/certificates.
