Peer Mentoring

Peer Mentoring at Westminster University connects you with fellow students ready to help you succeed. They're students who have been through similar experiences, so they understand what you're going through. Whether you're new to Westminster or know your way around campus, your peer mentor will offer guidance, support, and advice to help you reach your academic goals, navigate challenges, and stay motivated.

With 20 years of experience as a business owner and Licensed Massage Therapist, I bring a unique blend of professional expertise, resilience, and empathy to my role as a Peer Mentor. As a first-generation college student and immigrant, I understand the challenges of transitioning to a new environment and overcoming obstacles to achieve academic and personal goals.

Throughout my career, I have honed communication, leadership, and adaptability skills, which are critical for supporting students. My journey includes balancing single motherhood, running a successful business, and pursuing higher education, culminating in earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in May 2025. These experiences have taught me the value of persistence, time management, and self-reinvention—lessons I am eager to share with my mentees.

As a mentor, I am committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive community while guiding students through the critical early stages of their university experience. Whether offering academic advice, sharing strategies for overcoming challenges, or providing a listening ear, I am dedicated to helping students succeed as much as they are willing to work with me.

By combining my diverse experiences and a passion for empowering others, I aim to inspire and support my mentees to thrive in their academic and personal journeys, building a foundation for lifelong growth and achievement.
