SALT LAKE CITY–SnowBrains has named Westminster University a "Top 5 Little College to Attend for Skiing and Riding," noting that Westminster University is within an hour's drive from eight resorts for skiing and riding. Westminster's men's and women's snowboard and freeski teams are part of the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA). Along with the coached club teams, Westminster is also home to the student-led Ski & Snowboard club and Freeride club. All Westminster students have access to the on-campus Ski and Snowboard Collective, where they can learn how to tune, repair, and wax their boards for free.
Thanks to Westminster's renewed partnership with U.S. Ski & Snowboard, Westminster University is an Official Four-Year College Provider through 2034. U.S. Ski & Snowboard athletes who attend Westminster University will receive an updated tiered tuition discounting model that incentivizes undergraduate degree completion. More than 30 U.S. Ski & Snowboard athletes have earned degrees from Westminster since the initial partnership launch 20 years ago. In addition, over 50 Olympians have pursued their educational aspirations at Westminster, earning degrees along with 16 Olympic medals.
