SALT LAKE CITY–Women face a lot of difficult decisions when choosing which college to attend. Along with considering which institution will be most beneficial for their future careers, many women also consider campus safety, equitable pay and policies, and opportunities for advancement and success. That’s why Westminster University is honored to be named as one of America’s Best Colleges for Women 2026, presented by Newsweekand Gender Fair.
Westminster University’s ranking—the highest out of all institutions in Utah—was determined through a comprehensive ranking across four categories: leadership, pay and policies, safety, and opportunity. The methodology used federally reported data and considered state-level policies, so women can consider how their location impacts their college experience.
As Jennifer Cunningham, editor-in-chief for Newsweek, noted, “Earning a place on the America’s Best Colleges for Women list reflects an environment that meaningfully supports women’s success.”
At Westminster University, all students develop personal wellness plans and can find support through the Integrated Wellness Center to help them thrive in college and beyond. They have access to research on campus and can find off-campus internships and job opportunities through the Career Center. Through a variety of centers and on-campus organizations, every student can find a way to meaningfully engage in opportunities that enrich their lives and academic experiences.
