Dear Campus Community,

I would like to provide an update on the Vice President of Enrollment Management search.

Spencer Potter has agreed to serve as chair of the search committee. Committee members are Dr. Jessica Brazell-Brayboy, Dr. Christie Fox, Karen Henriquez, Dean Sheryl Steadman, Dr. Brian Wierman, and Sheila Yorkin. This composition reflects academic representation across programs, key campus partners in Student Success, Student Affairs and Athletics, and Cabinet members who work closely with the Vice President of Enrollment Management.

To ensure a comprehensive and successful national search, we have engaged with NES Searches (NES), a national higher education search firm with a specialty in enrollment management searches. The search firm has already begun conducting listening sessions with campus members, including direct and indirect reports to the Vice President of Enrollment Management, deans, and offices that work closely with enrollment and admissions, to identify the key experiences, competencies, and leadership approaches they would like to see in our next enrollment leader. These listening sessions will continue over the next week. The feedback from campus leadership, stakeholder groups, and campus members will inform the position description. NES plans to finalize the job posting by the end of May and begin their work of engaging suitable candidates. NES will then provide the search committee with qualified and recommended candidates for their consideration.

The search committee will convene several times in July to review candidates' qualifications and conduct first round interviews via Zoom with the selected candidates. The search committee, in consultation with me, will then recommend finalists who will be invited to campus in late July or early August for interviews with the search committee, invited staff, faculty, students, Cabinet members, and myself.

The goal is to have a new Vice President of Enrollment Management in place near the start of the Fall 2025 semester. This goal requires an expedited search process.
