The MBA Program at Westminster University
The MBA program at Westminster University is designed to provide a well-rounded graduate education in business, helping you further develop your skills and understanding of finance, operations, information systems, marketing, economics, and accounting. You’ll complete your coursework through a combination of classroom, online, competency-based, and experiential components, and you will have access to a variety of centers and involvement opportunities on campus. Throughout the program, you’ll receive personalized mentoring from highly qualified faculty with expertise in technology, entrepreneurship, banking, marketing, business analytics, and more. The MBA is intentionally flexible and you can start the program in August, January, or May—whichever fits best into your life. When you graduate, you’ll not only be prepared to be successful as a leader at the senior level of an organization, but you’ll also have the ability to adapt to ever-changing social, technological, and economic conditions.
Who the MBA Program Is For
The MBA program is ideal for engaged and self-directed learners who want to further their career. Most of our students are working professionals looking to integrate their academic and professional pursuits, but you don’t have to have a full-time job in the industry to join the program. To ensure your success in the program, you’ll need to be organized, focused, and motivated. And because you’ll be working in groups, you’ll need to be a team player.

personal and professional commitments. That’s why we lock your tuition rate for up
to 5 years and allow you to go at your own pace.
MBA Plan of Study
The program consists of four sections: three learning modules and an elective block. Through electives, you can customize your plan of study to align with your specific career goals. At the end of the program, you’ll take an international trip with your classmates to study the global economy hands-on.
Fundamentals: Fundamentals: Students who do not have a bachelor's degree in business are required to take 5 credits of fundamental business skills including marketing, economics, quantitative analysis, finance, and accounting.
Module I: These courses offer a breadth of instruction on topics including data and decision analytics, creating competitive strategies, financial decision-making, ethics and laws of corporate governance, operations, and designing high-performance organizations.
Module II: The third module is the capstone of the program. You’ll study business in the global economy, focusing on a specific region or country. At the end of the course, you’ll go on a 10-day International Context Tour with your classmates, where you’ll examine the economic, social, financial, demographic, and multicultural environments you studied in class.
Elective Courses: You can use your electives to complete graduate certificates in business analytics, technology commercialization, marketing data analytics, and creating high performing teams, or take individual courses such as Leadership, New Product Development, Intellectual Property, and Negotiations and Persuasion.
