April Schottelkorb, Ph.D., LCPC, is also a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor and Certified CCPT/CPRT-Trainer. She joins the Clinical Mental Health Counseling department. She earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of North Texas, and her current and future research explores the efficacy of child-centered play therapy with diverse populations, with particular interest in neurodivergent populations. "I am most excited to join a university known for excellence in teaching and a program known for excellence in training clinical mental health counselors," she said.
