From a Computer
To generate point-to-point walking directions on campus from a computer, click the Wayfinding icon in the upper left of the map next to the search box. This will open the Wayfinding feature, where you'll be able to input two points on campus, select walking or driving instructions, and view barrier-free routes.*
From a Mobile Device
To generate point-to-point walking directions on campus from a mobile device, tap the Wayfinding button at the bottom of the screen. This will open the Wayfinding feature, where you'll be able to input two points on campus, select walking or driving instructions, and view barrier-free routes.*
*Barrier-free routes are intended only to provide recommended routes where obstacles like stairs, curbs, etc. will be avoided. Barrier-free route recommendations are not guaranteed to be 100% accessible.
Note: Westminster is still improving the wayfinding feature and will adjust routes based on user feedback and testing. The directions provided are the best fit from the main entrance of the origin building to the main entrance of the destination building. You may need to alter the directions slightly if you're not departing from the building's main entrance.
From a Computer
To share a map view, click the share icon located in the upper right corner of the screen. While you have a building or location's information panel open, you can also use the share icon located in the upper left corner to direct a friend straight to that information.
From a Mobile Device
To share a map view, use the share button at the bottom of the screen to copy the URL for your current map view. If you want to share a specific location's information panel, open the location that you want to share. From there, use the sharing icon to access a variety of sharing options.
- Click the print icon and then click Generate Print Map. You will see a legend of options on the left and a red box over the map on the right.
- Select the Page Size (Letter, Legal, A4), Orientation (Landscape or Portrait), and Resolution. Note that higher resolutions will take longer to generate.
- Choose the categories and/or locations you want to include on the map by checking/unchecking the boxes next to the listed locations. If there are any tours on the map, you can click the tours tab to print the tour stops and routes.
- Customize the view of the map to be printed inside the red box. You can move the red box around by clicking and dragging on it. Make the box smaller or larger by dragging one of the corner squares.
- Enter a title for your map.
- Choose the file type (PDF or PNG), whether you would like grid lines to display on your print map, and select if you want numbered markers or location marker icons.
- Finally, you have the option to print just the map imagery (with no legend or icons), turn off the map layer behind the renderings, turn off the 3D renderings themselves, the coordinates, or the compass.
- Once you have completed your customization, click the Generate Print Map button at the bottom of the legend.
Note: The print feature is not currently available for mobile devices.
