
SummerSong
Westminster University is pleased to welcome high-school aged students to participate in its trademark, engaged-learning summer camp—SummerSong—an immersive music camp for talented singers and pianists interested in collaborative performance. Camp participants meet and interact with exceptional faculty, guest artists and peers with a common passion for making music. The camp is open to all high school-aged students, including incoming 9th graders and graduating seniors.
SummerSong Dates
June 14–19, 2026. There will be a final showcase concert on Friday, June 19 at 7:00 p.m. in Vieve Gore Concert Hall.
SummerSong Scholarship
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Florence J. Gillmor Foundation, 30 high school singers and 10 pianists will enjoy a week-long immersion in the art of piano performance or singing. The scholarship includes:
- All tuition and fees
- Singers: Private vocal lessons, master classes and workshops, musical theatre ensembles
- Pianists: private piano lessons, master classes, workshops in collaborative piano playing with singers, and piano ensemble rehearsals
- Daily lunch and snacks
- Camp T-shirt
- Alexander Technique, movement, and acting workshops
- Student Showcase recitals
- All students stay on Westminster’s beautiful campus during the camp, with access to all the amenities such as the Dolores Doré Eccles Health and Wellness Center, student dining hall serving Starbucks, practice rooms with new pianos, and much more.
- $400 fee covers all room and board, and camp counselor supervision.
SummerSong Application
- Please fill out the online application form, including an audio file or a performance video of 1-2 solo vocal or piano pieces to summersong@westminsteru.edu by May 1, 2026.
- Students will be notified of acceptance by May 8, 2026.
