The Westminster Employee Wellness Program raises awareness about the importance of lifestyle behaviors that promote good health and encourage overall wellness, including physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and social wellness. By increasing awareness and encouraging participation, employees learn how to make choices that have a positive impact on their lives at work and at home, while earning points for prizes.

How to Participate in the Westminster Employee Wellness Program

  • You must be a faculty or staff member of Westminster University to participate.
  • It is free to participate.
  • Use the Monthly Points Sheet to keep track of your wellness activities. If a certain activity can be classified in multiple areas of wellness, choose one area.
  • When you’re ready to redeem your points, submit an Employee Wellness Program Form by the 10th day of the following month (for example, January submissions are due by February 10).
  • Once we receive your request, a member of the HR team will reach out with redemption details.

Wellness Activity Examples

  • Start a gym membership
  • Participate in aerobic exercise
  • Participate in strength training
  • Hike
  • Take a walk
  • Participate in an organized competition (5K, Marathon, Triathlon, etc.)
  • Participate in a fit club
  • Perform yard work
  • Consume 5 or more servings of fruits and vegetables per day
  • Consume at least 64 oz. of fluid per day
  • Receive nutrition counseling
  • Complete a fitness assessment
  • Get vaccinated
  • Complete your annual wellness exam/physical
  • Complete age-appropriate health screenings
  • Visit the dentist
  • Use your seatbelt
  • Wear a helmet and other safety gear
  • Be tobacco/nicotine-free
  • Maintain a healthy weight
  • Get at least 7 hours of sleep per night
  • Attend a lecture, brown bag, etc.
  • Read a book or magazine
  • Attend an open enrollment event
  • Earn CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
  • Participate in Employee Wellness Day
