SALT LAKE CITY—U.S. News & World Report has ranked Westminster University as the 2027 #1 Best Value School in the Western region, a distinction that Westminster has earned multiple times. The calculation “takes into account a school’s academic quality and the net cost of attendance”, and the editors state that “the higher the quality of the program and the lower the cost, the better the deal.
In total, the university was ranked in four categories by U.S. News & World Report for 2027:
- #1 Best Value–Regional Universities (West)
- #7 Top Private Schools–Regional Universities (West)
- #12 Regional Universities (West)
- #31 Social Mobility–Regional Universities (West)

In addition, Westminster University invests in students. In the 2025–26 academic year, the average net cost of tuition paid by first-year students was $8,404, and 100% of first-year students received grants or scholarships.
