Dr. Tamara Stevenson, Chief Diversity Officer and Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, published an op-ed in The Salt Lake Tribune about three incidents at Utah institutions caused by the expectation that the institutions uphold "viewpoint diversity." As Dr. Stevenson argues, "...self-censorship begins to look like compliance, and viewpoint diversity becomes a stated value that institutions are expected to prove and perform but are not always equipped to practice."
