The power to manage creativity for social and economic good. The Greek letters in the Society's name stand for, Dia Mathessos Dynamis (ΔΙΑ ΜΑΘΗΣΕΩΣ ΔΥΝΑΜΙΣ), which signifies Delta Mu Delta's motto: Through Knowledge, Power.

Becoming a member of Delta Mu Delta is an honor indicative of earnest, intelligent purpose and rewarding achievement. This should be a goal of every person pursuing a degree in business administration. Many business professionals across the country and internationally are members, including Harvard, Yale and NYU graduates. The individuals who affiliate themselves with DMD also form a valuable network of business professionals, allowing for expanded business contacts and employment opportunities.

History of Delta Mu Delta

Delta Mu Delta was founded by the Dean of Harvard University and four professors from Yale University and New York University in November 1913, and was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1952. For full history, please visit the Delta Mu Delta's official website.

How to Join Delta Mu Delta

To become a member of Delta Mu Delta (DMD), students must:

  • Be registered in a business administration program.
  • Have completed at least half the requirements for the graduating degree.
  • Be in good standing.
  • Be in the top 20% of your class.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.60 or above ("A-" or better).

Students satisfying all of the above requirements will be invited to join the organization via Westminster email. The costs and benefits of the organization, along with the application process, will be explained after invitations have been sent. An induction ceremony is held each fall and spring semester.

Students who were inducted into DMD at another institution can contact faculty advisers Hal Snarr (hsnarr@westminsteru.edu) or Christine Ye (cye@westminsteru.edu) to become involved in our chapter of DMD, Eta Nu.
