About

Ashley Seitz Kramer, originally from Ohio, has taught college writing for over twelve years at several institutions and has won numerous awards for her own writing, including the Ruth Stone Prize, the Schiff Prize, the Utah Writers' Contest, and the Zone 3 Press First Book Award for her book, Museum of Distance (published in October 2015). Her work is widely published in such journals as The Colorado Review, Western Humanities Review, Quarterly West, The Burnside Review, Parcel, Cimarron Review, Brevity, Anti-, Cutbank, Hunger Mountain, Slice, The Southeast Review, Dogwood, The Tusculum Review, Verse Daily, and The Cincinnati Review, among others. Her flash fiction has appeared in Oblong and Passages North. She's at work on a second book of poems and a chapbook of short stories. At Westminster College, she teaches courses in English and Honors, and since 2012, has served as Assistant Dean of Arts and Sciences. She is a doctoral student in Education, Culture, and Society at the University of Utah. Her research interests live at the intersection of feminism and anti-racism, and more specifically, the unique and often problematic role that white women play in these discourses.
