Westminster's annual Open Enrollment period provides you the opportunity to review and make changes to your benefits package, ensuring your benefits align with your needs and circumstances. During Open Enrollment, you can:
- Enroll in or make changes to your health, dental, and vision insurance
- Review and update your life insurance coverage and update your beneficiaries
- Add or remove dependents from your coverage

- Access to the HealthJoy App, including free virtual visits

- New hospital indemnity coverage

Choosing the right health plan is one of the most important decisions you'll make all year. Employees and their family members can learn about Westminster's Cigna benefits by calling the pre-enrollment helpline at 888.806.5094 or visiting Cigna's online guide for Westminster employees. Resources include:

How to Participate in Open Enrollment
During the Open Enrollment period (Nov. 6–15, 2023), log into Employee Navigator to enroll in your benefits. If you need to reset your password or are having trouble loggin in, email humanresources@westminsteru.edu.
If you have specific questions about benefits options or need assistance with enrollment, you can meet one-on-one with Westminster's benefits administrator, Mina Milicevic.

Benefits Eligibility
Most benefits begin the first day of the month following your hire date. Eligible employees include:
- Staff who are scheduled to work 24 or more hours weekly
- Faculty who are on an annual contract for 9 or more months (including the equivalent of 24 or more credit hours)
Life Events
Any time you experience a qualifying life event during the benefit year, you will have the option to update your benefits. Qualifying life events include:
- The birth or adoption of a child
- The death of a dependent
- Marriage or domestic partnership
- Divorce, annulment, or legal separation
- The loss or gain of other coverage
Benefit changes must be completed within 30 days of the date of the qualifying event. Supporting documentation will be required for approval. To make changes or to check your current benefit elections, log into Employee Navigator.
If you do not experience a qualifying life event, you will be able to make updates and changes to your benefits elections during Open Enrollment for the next plan year.
