How to Apply to Westminster University

Test-Optional Admissions
Westminster is a test-optional school, so you can choose between sending us test scores or writing an essay—whichever you feel best represents you.
Never an Application Fee
Whether you choose to submit a Common Application or Westminster Application, there’s
never an application fee.
Merit-Based Scholarship
When you apply to Westminster, you are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships and awards.

Transfer Student
Change it up and continue your university journey at Westminster. With small class sizes, your professors won't just know you by name, they'll know how to help you succeed.
Veteran Students
Westminster is home to more than 150 veterans, military family members, cadets, and midshipmen. Here, you'll find academic excellence inside the classroom and community outside the classroom.
International Student
Apply as an international student and join an integral part of the diverse and vibrant student body at Westminster University.
Non-Degree Seeking Student
You can choose to apply to Westminster and as a non-degree seeking student and take courses for interest only.
Degree-Completion Student
Complete your undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).
Returning Student
If you stopped attending Westminster for 3 consecutive semesters without an approved leave of absence, you can reenroll by submitting a returning student application.
Concurrent Enrollment Students
High school junior or senior students interested in taking university-level classes and receiving Westminster University credit can apply for concurrent enrollment.
How to Apply to Programs with Additional Applications
Several programs at Westminster University require an extra application or audition
for admittance. The first step for any of these programs is to complete your Westminster
University application. Once you submit your application, you can apply for these
additional programs:
Honors College
The Honors College at Westminster requires an additional application and essay for admittance. Interviews are offered for interested applicants.
Nursing
Westminster offers 3 pathways for entrance into its competitive nursing program: direct-entry for first-year students, transfer admissions, and lateral entry for currently enrolled students. Additional application materials are required.
Performing Arts
You must audition for a performing arts scholarship or to declare a major in music. In-person and virtual audition options are available. If you’re interested in majoring in theatre or dance or are interested in music as a minor or as a participant, you may do so without an audition.

Log in to your admissions portal to check the status of your application and update your application information.
f you apply for Early Action (Dec. 2 deadline), you can expect to hear back from the Office of Admissions by the first week of January. Regular Decision applicants (Feb. 3 deadline) are notified by mid-March. If you apply after February 3, or if you are a transfer student, you can expect a decision within 3 weeks of completing your application.
