Westminster University is pleased to announce Dr. Kellie Gerbers (she/her) as the new dean of students. Dean Kellie has served as faculty and program director of the Outdoor Education and Leadership program for more than 7 years. As Dean of Students, Kellie will be responsible for providing leadership and support to all areas of Student Affairs; she directly supervises 2 assistant dean of students, Traci Siriprathane and Oliver Anderson, as well as the director of Student Care and Conduct, Mary Edmonds. Kellie’s office is located in the L.S. Skaggs Integrated Wellness Center on the second floor.

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Kellie completed a double major in History and Spanish at the University of Georgia (BA, 2008). After graduating, she moved to Tallahassee, Florida to complete 2 degrees (MS, 2010, PhD, 2017) in Higher Education from Florida State University while working in various student affairs departments, including Campus Recreation, Student Leadership and Civic Engagement, Multicultural and International Affairs, and Athletics. Outside of work, Kellie finds joy in spending time with loved ones, playing team sports, trying new recipes from Chef Jon on YouTube, and throwing frisbees for her 18-month-old Springer Spaniel, Birdie. Dean Kellie is very excited to continue her commitment to the Westminster community and hopes that you’ll join her in re-igniting Purple Wednesdays and Party Shirt Fridays.
