Important Capacity, Mask, and Distancing Updates

Per the change in college policy, effective June 6 masks are not required indoors for those who are fully vaccinated. This applies to all of the Eccles Health Wellness and Athletic Center. As recommended by the CDC, we ask those who are not fully vaccinated to continue to wear a mask indoors, and that all community members respect the choice of those who wish to continue wearing masks regardless of their vaccination status. Many of us may feel more comfortable continuing to wear a mask; please continue to show kindness and respect for the decisions that individuals make.

Also effective June 6, distancing is no longer required in any area of the Eccles HWAC including the weight room, cardio floors, track, hot tub, studio and climbing wall.

In the main gym there can now be more than one person per basket for shooting however at this time full court pickup games are not permitted.

Equipment Check Out and Shared Pool Equipment

Equipment such as basketballs and table tennis paddles are once again available for check out!

Pool fins, kickboards, noodles and pull buoys are available for use in the aquatic center.

Locker Rental

Lockers are available for rent! Just $10 for any size locker for the summer. Sign up for your locker today at the Reception Desk.

Summer of Crush and Insanity

Time to sign up for the second session of CRUSH/INSANITY! Round 2 starts June 29!

Who can attend: Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and those associated with the Westminster community who are over the age of 18

Registration Fee: $50 (refunded in full if you attend every class)

Location: Elevated Playing Field (sunscreen and sunglasses recommended)

Session 2 Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 29–August 2, 2021, 7–8 a.m.

Frisee Salad with Strawberry Vinaigrette

Here is a summer salad recipe that is out of this world and just tastes like summer! The recipe calls for cooked wheat berries but you can substitute any cooked grain such as brown rice or even oat groats are delicious in it! Frisee is also called “curly endive”. It can be difficult to find so in that case substitute any leaf lettuce. Add some avocado to really take it to the next level.
