Dear Faculty and Staff,

We are excited to announce that Sodexo is the dining services partner for Westminster. Sodexo was selected as the dining service provider following a national search process that began in February of this year. Westminster and Sodexo values are well aligned and share a student-centered approach to serving the Westminster community while working toward institutional goals. Westminster is fortunate to be the newest of 590 colleges and universities Sodexo serves across the country.

Here’s what you can expect as we make this transition:

  • Timeline and Hours of Operation: The dining hall in Shaw Student Center will be closed for Memorial Day Weekend, as in other years. Sodexo will re-open on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Hours of operation will remain the same.
  • Dining Services Team: Many of us have gained lasting relationships with the current dining service team and we’re happy to report that 25 of the 30 previous dining services team members have decided to stay on at Westminster as Sodexo employees. We are pleased to share that Nikki Hardinger, formally the Dining Services Manager, has accepted the position of general manager for the Westminster Sodexo account.
  • Catering and Events on Campus: Following a nationwide search, interviews are underway for an executive chef and catering manager. The first catering events begin in June. Additionally, 180 Ballet West residential summer camp dancers will be dining on campus daily from June 11–July 15.
  • Meal Plans: Westminster and Sodexo have worked together to provide a seamless transition for our residential summer students utilizing purchased meal plans through June 3. The cost of 2023-2024 meal plans will remain the same as posted on the Tuition and Fees webpage.
  • Flex Accounts: All Flex plans purchased directly from Bon Appétit will be transferred to Sodexo for a seamless experience. All arrangements have been made for the guests to enjoy uninterrupted use of their flex plans beginning May 30.
  • Menus and Digital Ordering: New menus are in development. On May 30, guests can expect to see some current favorites as well as some future favorites. New and robust menus will be rolled out in August 2023. In August, guests will be able to enjoy app-based ordering, and menus will be posted on modern digital signs throughout the server area.
  • Renovations and Branding: You will start to see a refresh of the space with some changes as early as May 30 with renovations coming through the summer months and into next year. The campus dining program is being reconceptualized and presented as “Westminster U Dining.”
