I am writing to inform you that the Staff Retreat has been scheduled for May 16th, 2023 - this is an all-day opportunity to engage in professional and personal development, become involved with your colleagues, and celebrate the amazing work done at Westminster. Further information about programming will be coming out next month, but if you want to get involved now, here are three ways! Propose a Professional or Personal Development Session

This is a great opportunity to share your expertise or excitement about a skill, hobby, or work or life hack with your colleagues! Sessions will be held both virtually and in-person and the length of the sessions will be flexible to accommodate a variety of session types. If you have any questions about leading a session, please reach out to Yvonne Francis, Chair of the Professional Development Committee.
Nominate a Colleague for a Staff Community Award

The Annual Staff Community Awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognize colleagues from across campus who go above-and-beyond in their work. Award categories include: Collaboration, Emerging Leader, Exemplary Griffin, Campus Innovation and Impact, and Student Success. Self-Nominate for Open Positions on Staff Council
Nomination Deadline | April 14
Staff Council is seeking nominations for staff members to become part of the team starting next academic year! By joining this incredible group, you'll get the chance to help foster an inclusive and transparent environment for an engaged and empowered staff community through advocacy, staff recognition, professional development, events, and more. Staff Council members serve for two years with an optional third year. Nominees will be given a chance to accept or decline the nomination before the election.
